Online Harms
Online harm can take many different forms. It can happen on social media, messaging apps, online forums, gaming platforms, websites, and other online services, and can affect anyone.
You may have experienced harmful behaviour directly, seen harmful content online, or witnessed something happening to someone else. Whatever the situation, it isn't always easy to know whether something breaks the law or a platform's rules, or what you can do about it.
We've provided information on some of the main online harms and issues reported to us below. These pages explain what each type of harm can look like, what the law says, how you can report it and where you can find further help and support.
This list isn't exhaustive, and you may come across something that doesn't fit neatly into one of these categories. You can still report harmful content or behaviour that you've experienced or witnessed, and there may be further support available.
